Students Islamic Organisation of India, Hyderabad West Division organised its Monthly Students Gathering on 4th May 2014 at Masjid-e-Azizia, Mehdipatnam. Mr. Mohammed Ali Rafath, IAS, addressed the students on the theme ‘Preparing Students and Youth for Future Endeavors’ and urged them to come out of the inferiority complex, strive to build the nation’s future and to work for Social Equity and Equality. He also highlighted the importance of primary education citing facts that more than 75% of graduates are not job ready, and that the youngsters lack communication skills and general knowledge.
He felt that there is a strong need to change the thought process of people and society and that there is a need for collective vision. He also highlighted the institutions providing free coaching for Civil Service Examinations or providing the financial support for the same. He stressed that if we want to prepare for the future endeavors, we need to bridge the skill gap we have due to lack of good primary education, no matter whatever our age is. There is not age limit to bridge the skill gap, he observed. “We need to have a passion to clear the civil service exams and should be ready to sacrifice jobs at early age”, he said. He also stressed on the fact that we need to be ready for any technology explosion, citing example of his generation where they had to learn computer skills at a later age.
