Chennai, Jan 10: The SIO zonal team comprising of Zonal President Br. Noorul Hasan, Zonal Secretary Br. Abu Thahir and Zonal office secretary Sheik Ismail met here                     Dr. Muthukumaran, the former vice-chancellor of Bharathidasan University, Trichy.

The meeting was organised to introduce SIO’s works and to discuss the educational scenario of Tamil Nadu. Dr. Muthukumaran shared his views on the common education system and his experience about it.

When informed him about the steps taken by SIO to improve the standards of the government schools, he requested to create awareness among the public about their rights.

When he was asked to give opinion on the government’s plan to implement 25% reservation in the private schools thereby leading to privatization, he said that the government’s plan is not acceptable instead the government should focus on improving the standards of govt. schools.
