Interest-free banking is one of the most discussed topics in the country as today’s economic system is based on interest which is making the lives of poor as hell. Keeping this in view, SIO Maharashtra South organised a seminar particularly for the students of Commerce to aware them about Interest-free system of banking, finance and economics.

Programme started with Discourse of Quran by Maulana Ilyas Falahi on the theme ‘Economic guidelines in Quran and Hadith’.Mr Abbas Ansari, President ofJIH Aurangabad shared his experience in Islamic Banking. He also presented History of Islamic banking, practical approach by the Practitioners of Islamic banking and its scope in India.

Dr.Shariq Nisar, Director of TASIS and Chief Guest of the seminar explained various terminologies in economics. He said that Islam provides a complete solution to all human problems and interest-free banking alone can eradicate poverty. He also discussed the various opportunities and thrust areas in Interest-free Banking. This was followed by a Q&A session. Program concluded with Zonal Secretary Siddique Khan’s vote of thanks.
