Historic Students Conference at Borivali-Padgha

SIO Borivali-Padgha Unit (Dist. Thane) organized a historic conference on the theme, “Apna maqam paida kar” on 17thNovember at Padgha’s KMES High School Ground. The objective of this conference was to enlighten Muslim students about their responsibilities vis-à-vis society and to make them live their lives in accordance with Islam. About 800 students and parents attended the programme.

 

The event started with the discourse of Quran by Janab Zafar Ansari, Secretary of JIH Maharashtra. He insisted that Dawah is the most important Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed (S) and we shouldn’t neglect it. It was followed by the speech of Br. Anwar Shaikh, Secretatary of SIO Maharashtra South, who said that SIO has been creating moderate thinking and perseverance among students and youth of the country.

 

Maulana Ausaf Falahi, Local President of JIH Bhiwandi spoke about the rights and obligations of parents and children. DYSP of Ganeshpuri, Mr. Ghadge, educated students about building career in public sector. Later, Dr. Javed Mukarram Siddiqui, ZAC member of JIH Maharashtra spoke on the topic “Pesh kar ghafil amal agar koi daftar mein hai”. He emphasized on becoming ambitious; and for that he presented a ten-point programme to the students.

 

Br. Azharuddin, Former National president of SIO spoke on the central theme of “Apna maqam paida kar”. He stressed that only Islam can solve all of modern societal problems and Muslim Students and youth must build their character in order to fulfill this obligation. The conference was hosted by the local president of SIO, Br. Mujahid Shaikh. Conference Incharge Br. Feroze Khan proposed vote of thanks.
