Student groups of English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad demanded a CBI and CAG investigation into alleged financial irregularities of Sunaina Singh, vice-chancellor, ELFU and Syed Sayeed, nodal officer, EFLU.

A press release of the student groups which includes Dalit Adivasi Bahujan Minority Students Association (DABMSA), Telangana Students’ Association (TSA), Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) and others stated that Sunaina Singh illegally converted the CPF of 11 employees (teaching staff) to GPF even when the matter was under sub-judice.

“We understand that this illegal conversion will create a great financial burden on the University which is estimated to be ranging from Rs 8-10 crores. And this illegal decision has been taken at a time when the university is under scarcity of funds and at the cost of decreasing students’ welfare as well as academic schemes,” stated the press release.

The student groups further demanded the recovery of the amount and the withdrawal of all false cases filed and disciplinary actions that were taken against agitating students.
