Dharwad Region grand Conference concluded with fervor

Students Islamic Organisation of India – Dharwad Region conducted a Regional Students Conference on 3rd April 2012 at Dr. Patel Puttappa Hall. The conference began with a grand welcome and concluded with the members meet. Chief Guest, Br. Mohammed Azharuddin – National President – SIO of India addressed the gathering. The conference also featured a open quiz competition, a skit on student issues and other cultural activities.
                                                                  
Br. Mohammed Azharuddin, spoke on various issues relating to students and said that the students play a very vital role in the reconstruction of the society. He also highlighted on the negative impacts which globalisation has to offer. He concluded his speech by stating that the need of the hour is to stand up and raise issues with respect to the injustice, immorality, poverty, pornography, homosexuality and the widening of gap between rich and poor in our country.

Dr. S K Joshi – Retired Superintendent of Archeological Survey of India also spoke on the occasion and praise the organization for its overall work and wished the organization success in its future endeavours. Br. Ashfaq Ahmed Shareef – Zonal President SIO Karnataka and Janab Saleem Umri – Nazim-e-Ilaqa – Dharwad, Janab Liyaqat Mulla – ZAC member – JIH Karnataka, were also present.
