SIO Tanjore District organized an anti-Alcohol protest at the “Temple town” Kumbakonam on 10th of Nov  as part of the State level “Anti-Alcohol Campaign” unleashed by SIO Tamil Nadu.
Alcohol Conception, the mother of all evils has spread like a monstrous dragon in the state, where the State government itself runs the Retail business in the name of “TASMAC” (Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation). The Average age-limit of alcohol consumption in the state has been reduced to 14. SIO condemns the behaviour of the State government which is spoiling the society just to have an income source to implement the so-called “WELFARE SCHEMES”. SIO also recommended the State government to search for an alternative source of income, which will not have negative impact on the present and the future generations to come.
